The Scriptures are so honest about life in this world. God's prophets who wrote a huge portion of the Scriptures are too. Here God's struggling prophet shows us the question that each of our hearts is asking about our ultimate future. He asks, "What can we say about it that's actually true? Will we really last?" And God gives here his answer in powerful, powerful language that is so memorable that people have now been quoting it for centuries. It is now the deep cry of every Christian's heart.
