The God Who Heals Your Brokenness

(A Sermon Based on 1 Kings 19:1-18)

We all have some moments in our lives when we experience deep brokenness. We all have them - moments of debilitating depression and anxiety, moments when our darkness pushes us even to the point of having a death wish in our hearts. This is a Scripture describing and ministering to the whole human who the Lord loves and lives to heal when we're in just that state.

Redeemed for Work

A Sermon Based on Ruth 2

A writer once said, "How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives." That, of course, means we spend most of our lives working - 96,000 hours or so of it the statisticians say. That is a very significant part of our lives that can sometimes seem so futile and empty. That, in turn, can lead and has led to feelings of depression and resentment about our jobs for many of us. This is a sermon designed to help the listener better understand why we feel that way and to hand back to us all joy in our work.

This is Us

The Sixth Sermon in a Series called Romans The Gospel According to Paul Based on Romans 7:15-25

Christian life so often does not look a whole lot like life. It looks like struggle. It looks like losses. It looks like doing what I don't want to do. That's what it looks like. And it's painful and frustrating, lonely and hard. This is a sermon to minister to that.
